CEO & Founding Partner of Cecilian Partners, John grew up in a family built-on entrepreneurial spirit. He bestows much of his motivation to start his own business to his mother, Kathleen Cecilian, and her brand experience with some of the most respected Master Planned Community Developers in the Real Estate industry. John spent over fifteen years in retail leadership and strategy working for a variety of global lifestyle brands: Abercrombie & Fitch, Michael Kors (Pre-IPO), and the first Brand House Division store for Under Armour. He is an expert in retail strategy, customer experience, and the recruitment and training of teams and people. At the end of 2018, John decided to transition his passion for creating memorable Customer Experiences to the Master Planned Community niche. He has assembled a team of outside industry experts with the mission of Transforming the customer experience through data, technology, and human capital through Cecilian Partners and The XO. John holds a Master of Business Administration in Systems Thinking and Global Finance from Villanova University, and earned his Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Psychology from Duquesne University. John is an active member of the Urban Land Institute, Forbes Real Estate Council Member and Community Development Council (CDC) Gold. As founding partner and CSO for Cecilian Partners, Philip brings 10+ years of experience in advising senior leaders of Fortune 500 companies on growth and operational strategy. He thrives on solving problems that are foundationally helping some part of the world. Phillip was a founding member of Bloom – Accenture’s digital growth incubator, where he led small teams of strategists, designers, data scientists, and developers to partner with clients and build new digital businesses targeting ideas that had $1B+ valuations. Phillip’s drive and ambition is what led him to partnering up with John Cecilan,Jr. of Cecilian Partners, to help accomplish their mission of Transforming the customer experience through data, technology and human capital for the Real Estate industry. He is focused on leveraging technology and strategy to help Community Developers and Home Builders deliver a better customer experience though The XO, a Cecilian Partners product. Philip holds degrees in mathematical economics and management from Rice University and the London School of Economics and is a current member of the Forbes Technology Council.
